The Demining Suit MPS4 is an extremely versatile and comfortable demining suit. It is designed to be worn by personnel who have to search for improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and anti-personnel mines.
It provides protection against fragments of exploding mines to the whole body. This includes protection for the back, front, side, neck and even under arm protection. The lower groin protection is a particular benefit of the MPS4 as it wraps completely under the groin. The MPS4 thereby helps in scenarios of ground blasts.
The MPS4 offers a protection level of v50 = 450 m/s (1476 ft/s) according to STANAG 2920 and fulfills IMAS 10.30. Other protection levels are possible on request.
The trousers are articulated at the knees giving the user good mobility and flexibility. The sleeves are independent of the jacket. This allows the adjustment to different shoulder sizes and a greater comfort and freedom of movement. The Nomex® outer cover is thereby flame resistant and washable.
